About USC Black Business Student Association

The Center for Black Cultural and Student Affairs (CBCSA) at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA serves as a comprehensive resource hub dedicated to supporting student success through intentional, holistic programming. The organization provides scholarly and co-curricular activities designed to strengthen understanding of Black diasporic heritage while enhancing academic, cultural, leadership, and social development across the entire USC community.

CBCSA operates through six core pillars that guide its mission: Cultural Investment celebrates and engages Black culture and its societal impact; Community Building and Engagement fosters harmony and reciprocity in relationships; Collaborative Partnerships work toward economic and social justice while providing exposure to life-changing resources; Social and Professional Development enriches the Black community through leadership and soft-skills training; Student Empowerment equips students to advocate for themselves and needed resources; and Student Wellness provides holistic health and healing support.

The organization delivers diverse programming and events celebrating Black history while creating peer community connections. Students gain access to comprehensive resources including connections to student organizations, faculty and staff mentorship, and campus opportunities. CBCSA also facilitates the Commencement Celebration, a traditional rite of passage recognizing graduating students' academic achievements at USC. Additionally, the organization partners with the Black Alumni Association to enable inclusive experiences through leadership, networking, and shared values.

Located in Los Angeles, CBCSA welcomes all students to learn, engage, and develop within a supportive environment. The center maintains a commitment to non-discrimination and operates with intentionality to strengthen the Trojan experience for students from matriculation through graduation.
