One Hundred Black Men of New York

One Hundred Black Men of New York is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating meaningful change across New York, NY through comprehensive community development initiatives. The organization leverages the collective talent and expertise of accomplished leaders to implement strategic programs focused on education, economic empowerment, and health advocacy. OHBM's mentoring programs have directly impacted hundreds of young people, with the Junior One Hundred mentoring program serving 136 youth and awarding over $2 million in college scholarships to deserving students. The organization has also distributed nutritious meals to 20,000 New Yorkers through its Annual Citywide Hunger Relief Program, partnering with 20 Black churches and community organizations across New York City. Beyond individual support services, One Hundred Black Men of New York actively addresses systemic barriers affecting African American communities, including mental health disparities, economic development obstacles, and educational inequities. The organization has grown its active membership from 87 to 170 of the most successful leaders in and around New York City, enabling expanded community reach and impact. OHBM's commitment extends to supporting Black entrepreneurship through partnerships with NYC government agencies and providing specialized scholarships through programs like OHBMNFL college scholarships for Black male students. By combining mentorship, financial support, health awareness initiatives, and economic development strategies, One Hundred Black Men of New York serves as a beacon of leadership, creating environments where individuals are motivated to achieve and become self-sufficient contributors to their communities.
