Norman S. Minor Bar Association

The Norman S. Minor Bar Association is a professional organization serving Black attorneys and legal professionals throughout Northeast Ohio, based in Cleveland. Established in 1980 as Cleveland's first full-fledged African American bar association, the NSMBA has spent over four decades advancing the science of jurisprudence and improving the administration of justice within the community. The organization provides a vital platform for legal professionals to enhance communication, facilitate cooperation among lawyers, and exchange critical information on economic, political, and professional matters. Members benefit from a comprehensive membership directory and access to networking opportunities with Greater Cleveland's Black legal community. The NSMBA is committed to preserving the independence and enhancing the quality of the judiciary, while promoting legislation that improves economic conditions for all citizens regardless of age, race, gender, creed, or sexual orientation.
