About National Coalition of 100 Black Women Central Ohio Chapter
The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Central Ohio Chapter is a dedicated organization serving Columbus, OH and the surrounding region, including Franklin, Fairfield, Licking, and Delaware counties. Since its charter in September 2011, the chapter has been instrumental in advancing critical initiatives focused on leadership development and gender equity across multiple sectors. The organization concentrates its efforts on three essential areas: health, education, and economic empowerment for Black women and girls throughout Central Ohio. Operating under the national mission established in 1981, the Central Ohio Chapter brings together accomplished African American women who are committed to creating meaningful change in their communities. The chapter's work is grounded in core values including gender equity, inclusion, respect, racial and social justice, integrity, accountability, and collaboration. By fostering a leadership forum specifically designed for Black women, the organization provides networking opportunities, professional development, and advocacy platforms that empower members to drive systemic change. The chapter's comprehensive approach addresses the interconnected challenges facing Black women in Columbus and Central Ohio, working to eliminate barriers and create pathways to success in healthcare, academic achievement, and financial independence. With a foundation of 35 founding members who shared a vision for equitable opportunity, the chapter has grown to become a vital resource for women seeking to develop their leadership potential while contributing to broader social and economic progress in the region.
