About National Bar Association

The National Bar Association, headquartered in Washington, DC, is the nation's oldest and largest global network of predominantly Black American attorneys and judges. Since its founding in 1925, the NBA has served as a comprehensive professional organization representing approximately 67,000 lawyers, judges, law professors, and law students across the United States and internationally. The organization is structured around 24 substantive law sections, 10 specialized divisions, 12 regional chapters, and 80 affiliate chapters, providing members with extensive networking and professional development opportunities. The NBA's mission centers on advancing the science of jurisprudence, improving the administration of justice, and preserving the independence of the judiciary while upholding the honor and integrity of the legal profession.
