About National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. Greensboro Chapter
The National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. Greensboro Chapter serves accounting, finance, and business professionals throughout Greensboro, NC and the surrounding region. Established in March 2015, the Greensboro Chapter continues the mission of the parent organization founded in 1969, which has been a leader in expanding the influence of minority professionals in accounting and finance. The chapter focuses on promoting and developing the professional skills of its members while encouraging and assisting minority students in entering the accounting profession. Members gain access to a comprehensive network of resources, including online discussion forums, professional communities organized by specialized interests, and a shared knowledge base of documents, templates, and industry-standard materials. The organization provides opportunities for members to fulfill their civic responsibilities while building relationships with other accounting and finance professionals. Through its Accelerated Career Awareness Program (ACAP), the chapter introduces high school students to careers in accounting and finance while developing their interpersonal skills and personal finance awareness. The Greensboro Chapter addresses the professional needs of accountants, finance professionals, business-related professionals, and students who are committed to professional and academic excellence and concerned with enhancing opportunities for minorities in their fields.
