Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Cleveland Chapter

Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Cleveland Chapter is a membership organization dedicated to developing future African American leaders through comprehensive programming and enrichment activities serving the Shaker Heights, OH community and Greater Cleveland area. Since its charter in 1949, the Cleveland Chapter has grown to represent 74 families committed to the organization's five-point programmatic thrust: cultural awareness, educational development, social-recreational activities, health initiatives, and civic engagement.

The chapter provides diverse services designed to strengthen children ages 2-19 through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving, and civic duty. Monthly activities include field trips to cultural and civic programs throughout the Greater Cleveland region, leadership and financial literacy workshops, and celebrations such as Kwanzaa. These programs are carefully structured to provide children with the tools and experiences necessary to become dynamic, contributing members of society.

As part of the national Jack and Jill organization, which boasts 262 chapters nationwide representing over 50,000 family members, the Cleveland Chapter maintains a strong commitment to academic excellence, cultural pride, and social responsibility. The organization works to accomplish its mission by uniting individual members' efforts to positively impact the lives of children, families, and communities. Members benefit from shared experiences that strengthen family bonds while instilling values of service and leadership in the next generation.
