About Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Capital City Chapter

Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Capital City Chapter serves families throughout Raleigh, NC and the surrounding Wake County community with comprehensive youth development and civic engagement programming. As a chartered chapter of the national organization, Capital City provides structured leadership development, volunteer service opportunities, philanthropic giving initiatives, and civic duty education for African American children and teens. The chapter delivers age-appropriate programming through multiple groups including youth clusters, teen leadership programs called Trailblazers, and specialized activities such as the Cotillion-Beautillion and Sparkles and Spurs programs. Capital City's programming model emphasizes both focused and stimulating activities that strengthen children through mentorship, cultural enrichment, and community service. The chapter organizes regular community service projects, hosts educational conferences and summits, facilitates networking events, and coordinates fundraising initiatives that support both the Jack and Jill Foundation and local charitable organizations. Since its official charter in September 2012, Capital City has established itself as an active member of the Mid-Atlantic Regional network, participating in state legislative days, national conferences, and regional youth clusters. The chapter's dedicated mother-led leadership ensures that all programming reflects the organization's core mission of nurturing future African American leaders while honoring cultural heritage and strengthening family bonds within the Raleigh community.
