Greater Hartford Chapter Jack and Jill of America, Inc.

The Greater Hartford Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., based in Unionville, CT, is dedicated to comprehensive youth development and family programming for children ages 2-19. As an African-American organization of mothers, the chapter designs and delivers innovative programs across multiple focus areas including leadership development, civic engagement, community service, educational excellence, financial literacy, and cultural heritage. Beyond individual family services, the Greater Hartford Chapter maintains active partnerships with regional institutions and community organizations, including the Amistad Center for Art and Culture, FoodShare, and the Boys and Girls Club of Hartford. The chapter leverages the rich cultural, historical, and artistic resources of the Greater Hartford area, while also providing access to programming in Boston and New York City. With a history spanning over six decades since its founding in 1958, the organization continues to evolve its offerings to address current community needs, particularly in early childhood literacy and food security. The chapter's commitment to excellence is reflected in its formal sponsorship and mentoring programs for new members, ensuring sustained quality and community impact throughout the Greater Hartford region.
