Center for Black Equity

Center for Black Equity is a multinational organization based in Washington, DC dedicated to advancing equity and opportunity for Black LGBTQ+ communities across three critical areas: economic equity, health equity, and social equity. The organization works to empower Black LGBTQ+ individuals to compete effectively in the marketplace, achieve fair access to livelihood and education, and participate fully in political and cultural life. Through targeted initiatives and programming, Center for Black Equity helps Black LGBTQ+ people thrive physically, behaviorally, environmentally, and spiritually while promoting self-determination in meeting fundamental needs. The organization builds coalitions with allies, community-based organizations, and Pride celebrations to drive systemic change. Center for Black Equity's comprehensive approach addresses the interconnected challenges facing Black LGBTQ+ communities by focusing on economic empowerment, improved health and wellness opportunities, and equal rights. Operating from Washington, DC, the organization coordinates major events and programs that bring together individuals, organizations, and supporters committed to achieving equality and social justice for Black LGBTQ+ communities globally.
