100 Black Men of Western PA

100 Black Men of Western PA is a nonprofit mentoring organization dedicated to transforming the lives of at-risk African-American youth in Pittsburgh, PA and the greater Pittsburgh area. Since 1991, their comprehensive Mentorship Program has successfully guided over 10,000 students toward academic success, with 90% advancing to post-secondary institutions. The organization provides specialized programming across multiple areas including academic tutoring, self-esteem development, critical thinking skills, and citizenship education. Beyond mentoring, 100 Black Men of Western PA operates targeted programs in health education, financial literacy, technology training through their Infolink-100 Summer Computer Camp, and cultural enrichment. Each program is designed to address specific developmental needs of middle and high school students, combining modeling, tutoring, and mentorship to build pathways to lifelong success. As a United Way Agency (Code 885156) and established 501(c)(3) nonprofit since 1987, the organization combines the talents and resources of dedicated professionals to solve community challenges affecting Pittsburgh's African-American community. Their evidence-based approach has demonstrated measurable impact, having mentored over 850 students in the Greater Pittsburgh Area over more than two decades. 100 Black Men of Western PA operates as part of the larger 100 Black Men of America network, an international organization with over 120 chapters spanning 30 states and international locations.
