100 Black Men of South Florida, Inc.

100 Black Men of South Florida, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Miami Lakes, FL, dedicated to creating meaningful impact through comprehensive mentorship and community development programs. Since 1989, this organization has brought together accomplished professionals from business, industry, public affairs, government, and various professions to address critical challenges facing African-American communities and other minorities. The organization operates multiple specialized programs designed to foster educational excellence and economic empowerment, including the Dr. Harold Guinyard Leadership Academy (DHGLA), Positive Youth Development (PYD), Collegiate 100, High School Summer Nursing & Health Sciences Academy, and Middle School Summer Law Program. Additionally, the Miami Lakes-based chapter coordinates a Law Enforcement & Emergency Services Career Fair and seasonal community initiatives such as the Thanksgiving Food Drive and Christmas Shopping Spree. As part of the national 100 Black Men of America's "Four For The Future Initiative," the South Florida Chapter provides holistic support across four key pillars: Economic Development, Education, Health & Wellness, and Mentoring. Their programs have invested significantly in community health and wellness initiatives while focusing on educational achievement for African-American youth, with particular emphasis on young African-American males. The organization's approach combines mentorship with practical skill-building, financial literacy education, civic engagement opportunities, and social justice advocacy. With a commitment grounded in the values of Respect for Family, Spirituality, Justice, and Integrity, 100 Black Men of South Florida continues to serve as a beacon of leadership, utilizing the diverse talents of its members to create environments where youth are motivated to achieve and community members become self-sufficient contributors to the economic and social fabric of the Miami Lakes area and beyond.
