About 100 Black Men of San Antonio, Inc.
100 Black Men of San Antonio, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth through comprehensive mentorship, education, and workforce development programs serving the San Antonio, TX community and surrounding areas. Since its charter in July 1999, the organization has provided professional mentors and volunteers committed to the principle of "Real Men Giving Real Time" for disadvantaged, disenfranchised, and low-income youth and families. The organization offers multiple pathways to success including the Saturday Mentoring Academy, which provides academic support and leadership development across seven partner school districts, and YouthBuild San Antonio, an intensive program combining hands-on construction training with academic credentials. Additional specialized programs include CyberBuild IT Training, introducing young adults to cybersecurity and technology careers, and Project SOAR, designed to help justice-involved youth re-engage in education and workforce opportunities. The organization also provides pre-apprentice training in construction, certified nursing assistant certification, and IT apprenticeships, along with career pathway support including internships and job placements. With over 20 years of proven impact, 100 Black Men of San Antonio has served 350 youth annually, facilitated 83 credential completions and graduations, and achieved 85 improved academic or employment outcomes. The organization collaborates with community leaders, local organizations, and city officials to create environments where young people are motivated to achieve and develop the skills necessary for long-term success and self-sufficiency.
