100 Black Men of Metro Baton Rouge, LTD. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering African-American youth through comprehensive, results-driven programs aligned with four core pillars: Mentoring, Education, Health and Wellness, and Economic Empowerment. Operating in Baton Rouge, LA, the organization serves as a catalyst for youth development, helping young people reach their full potential through targeted interventions and community-based initiatives.
The organization's educational programs have demonstrated measurable success, including the ACT Preparatory Academy, where more than two-thirds of participants scored high enough to qualify for the TOPS scholarship program, saving families thousands in tuition costs. The Dollars and Sense Financial Literacy program teaches responsible money management to high school students, with participants winning the national competition in three of the last six years. Additional programs include the WISE Guys mentorship initiative, which achieved a 95% completion rate with 150 participants in the 2021-2022 program, and a Summer Robotics Academy that doubled attendance by providing enrichment in computer programming and video game development for middle school students.
