About 100 Black Men of Greater Lafayette
100 Black Men of Greater Lafayette is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life within the Lafayette, LA community and enhancing educational and economic opportunities for all African Americans. Since its formal chartering in June 2009, the organization has established itself as a beacon of leadership by implementing sustained mentoring programs and youth development initiatives that empower young people to realize their potential. The chapter operates across the Greater Lafayette Region, including Lafayette, Broussard, Breaux Bridge, Abbeville, Opelousas, Youngsville, and surrounding communities. Through strategic partnerships with law enforcement officials, political leaders, business and industry representatives, and respected civic and professional organizations, 100 Black Men of Greater Lafayette creates meaningful change in the areas it serves. The organization is committed to the intellectual development of youth and the economic empowerment of the African American community, grounded in core values of respect for family, spirituality, justice, and integrity. By utilizing the diverse talents of its membership, the organization cultivates environments where children are motivated to achieve and empowers community members to become self-sufficient shareholders in the economic and social fabric of Lafayette and surrounding areas.
